Opium Laboratory at GOAW Neemuch is, manned by CRCL Officers and Staff, and receives NDPS samples with reference to the Standing Instruction No. 1/88 dated 15.03.88 (under Section 52 of NDPS Act) of Narcotics Control Bureau.
The Lab also tests about 50,000 opium samples received from cultivators every crop year.
After upgradation of opium Laboratory, different seized Drug samples like Alprazolam, Lorazepam, Tramadol, Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, Zolpidem etc are received and tested by this laboratory on regular basis. In addition, Heroine, Ketamine Hydrochloride, Acetic Anhydride, Opium, Cannabis product, poppy Straw samples are also analysed as routine analysis.
